Went to $423 and change. I tried entering a snipe, but it obviously went much higher than I thought or hoped it would!

Interesting. 7 bidders and 7 bids. Seems the winning bid was placed a bit more than 2 hours before the auction ended but none of the 5 last second snipes exceeded that high bid. Could have gone for even more. I bet the person placing the $213 bid was a bit surprised to see it outbid by over $200 just a second later. Seller's happy. Hope the buyer is, too.

John, I can testify from experience, since I was the one bidder just before the $213 bid. I watched it end and saw my bid immediately get topped and then I said "Woah!" when it hit twice my bid.  :)  It stayed bidless at $100 for five days, so I was hoping for a low-ish ending since light beige isn't too popular and this one needs some parts to be complete. So yes, I was quite surprised and I bet the seller had to be picked up off the floor.

I'm pretty sure I was the $213 bid! ::) I was frankly surprised to see it jump over double what I had entered!

Dang, I had the perfect paint to use for the repro cap! I was a little disappointed that I didn't win, but I'm glad I didn't have to get it for that price! Besides, I was happy that something else came in the mail today... (details to come in a little bit in a new topic!)

Yes, and it looks like it was a BIN with FREE SHIPPING. It has issues in the fading and feet but for that price, yes certainly was a steal deal.

Anyone on the forum want to admit to snagging this one?

WOW!!!! $75!!! That auction must have been lasted all of one minute!! Sure wish I had snagged that. I thought I had a chance when I saw the beige one sitting with no bids for five days. Oh well, still have my "tribute" mushroom!

Did anyone see the auction title? In what bizarro world does a seller realize this is a "mushroom" phone and a PU 500 (it only says U 500 on the bottom) but the same seller doesn't realize it's very valuable? Is there some eBay guide that doesn't mention prices but does mention unusual phones? I just can't figure out how the seller knew what she had but came up with such a low price.

That seller has 123 items for sale right now, and all of them are BIN auctions. Not one is an auction.

One of the items is a butt set

for $25 with free shipping. Actually, all of the 123 items for sale are BIN with free shipping.. Based on that, I'd say the seller got what they wanted for the mushroom but their bad pricing research left a lot of money on the table.
