North Dial Swap

I have a metal North Dated 4/40. Dial is seized. I want to swap it with the North Dial next to it. Any help is greatl appreciated....Doug

That newer North dial might be larger than the standard dial hole.If not you need 1 or 2 of the plastic half moon mounting spacers to raise it up to clear the fingerwheel

Have you tried soaking it with oil and heating it up a little to free it? Like maybe the heat from a soldering iron?

That old North dial has a pot metal frame and would not take heat well. If you pull the dial, there is a sliding cover to allow access to the governer for adjustment or lubercation
