I agree--buy what strikes your fancy, and don't worry that it's not expensive enough.  The most expensive phone I have is an ivory WE 354, and in the phone collecting world, even that's not very expensive.  Everything else I have is rather commonplace.  BUT... I love every single phone I have, because I buy what I take a liking to.

This particular phone went for so much because it's made of early colored plastic.  No other reason.  Automatic Electric Monophones are all collectible, because of their rather nice styling, but the colored ones cause people to loose control. ;)
