I just got a metal box Automatic Electric (model 44? or L644?) monophone type and plan to clean it up. I have ordered the novus polish #1,#2 and #3 kit. I understand that #2 works well on metal painted phones. The phone is in pretty good condition with no rust...I plan on using #2 followed by #1. Do you think using #3 would hurt the metal/painted surface (I've never used Novus before). I wasn't sure how abrasive it may be.

thanks!

I understand from others the #3 is fairly abrasive and you shouldn't allow it to dry on any surface, or only a good application of #2 will remove it.  I frankly believe the #2 is a lot less abrasive than it could be, but I guess taking it slow and easy on most plastics makes more sense, while it also allows them to sell more of it. ;)

Thanks guys...I think I will start with Novus #2 just in case...I suppose it's not rocket science.
