Title: Nice Working WE *229* Stick
Post by: Doug Rose on April 18, 2016, 08:36:52 PM
Jan found this Sunday as well, being Patriots Day in MA I got to work on a few phones. I took these pics with a flash to show how the stick has lost paint on the shaft from holding it. I am not going to keep the stick, should I repaint the shaft or leave it as is? I am leaning on leaving it as is. I had to recover the cover as all the cover was gone. It display wonderfully....Doug

Doug - I am a " leave it original" guy.  That stick looks very nice as is anyway, with the wear showing history and character.  My vote is leave it as is!  Paul

Very nice find, Doug!

I would not repaint it--if there's any paint wear I find acceptable on a candlestick, it's wear on the shaft from someone holding it!

Sorry ...it is a *329* transmitter 20AL. It will be on eBay today. I added a line cord, it does get dial tone and transmits, but here is NO subset....Doug
