Thanks for your interest!

It was £26 plus £4.95 postage.
It's in very good shape and all works perfectly (needs a line cord obviously).  The ringer sounds rather like a Trimphone.
The colour is a pale blue rather than the vivid blue in the last two photos.  I think the artificial light has made it look rather green in the other photos. It has faded a small amount but not really too bad at all.
The ribbon type cord retracts back into the phone when you hang-up. Even my wife thinks that bit is cool!
I'm not sure of its practicality as a phone to use, as the only way to pick up the handset is to flip it up using the ridge at the receiver end - but it is supposed to be decorative after all.
If any one knows the maker perhaps they can let me know please.
I think it's a great thing!

There is also another one available on eBay right now for $37.99 if another member fancies one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Italy-Retro-Emerald-Green-Beige-Rotary-Art-Deco-Italian-Phone-Telephone-/183627157483

Face Standard Jewel Box.

Look here: http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=3091.0

There's a pretty marketing flyer in the TCI Library that has a Netherlands stamp. Search for jewel box or try this link:

Many were sold in the US by ITT.

@paul-f thanks for the link - I rather like the red (burgundy?) one!

It's interesting that the earlier ones (circa late '60s) appear to have only a single button on the cradle.
My later version has two buttons - one for the hookswitch and the other to rewind the cord.
That then allows you to hang-up and dial another number without the cord rewinding every time.
It makes what is a rather impractical phone a bit more usable.
