Question on Exclusion Keys

I have a nice WE 565HD+ that is missing its exclusion switch.  It still has the white plunger knob, fortunately.  I found an ITT switch on Ebay that is for a 2565 (touch-tone) version.  Is this the same part as for a rotary 565?  Thank you!

If it fits, I would use it. I would plan on eventually replacing it w/ the WE part. I also don't worry if eventually ends up being double digit years away.

That's a great find. I think the keys were installed in the field. Most of the phones with the white plunger never had the key. Check the BSP for wiring. It can be a little confusing. It basically passes line 1 T and R and A control to spare pairs for an outside extension. When you pull up on the key, it opens all leads, "excluding" that person. I used a 149b connecting block to access the pairs from the exclusion key to a RJ11 plug for my 500M. It makes for a nice demo.

Thanks for all the input!  I will definitely refer to the BSPs when installing.  Hopefully, ITT used the same wire colors!!
