WECo Transmitter Screw Sizes

WECo transmitter mounting cup rim screws have a shoulder and are slightly larger than a standard 2-56. The threads are probably ok but the screw size is slightly larger than a #2 but still smaller than a #3 screw. This is confirmed since you cannot thread a WECo transmitter rim screw into a standard ANSI 2-56 nut because is too large to thread in to it.
 
Even though a standard ANSI 2-56 screw is loose and wobbly in WECo faceplates and a 3-56 screw is too large for the transmitter, the 2-56 is the best alternative to replace missing screws.
