I like VW's too and have owned a few.  Geesh, Hitler, what a nutjob.  I've never seen an old VW with any sort of phone, the oldest ones I've encountered are always spartan jobs that remind me of early Model T's in their simplicity.  The earliest car phone I recall was my boss with his 73' Chevy Impala, it even had a speaker phone setup in it so he could talk handsfree, but this was in the 80s.

I used to be a historian on Hitler and Nazi history. It was said that Hitler designed the VW Beetle then Ferdinand Porsche develop it for mass production to be made available for every German citizen that's why it was called "Volkswagen" the people's car. I have an e-file of his sketch, still have to dig it in my files.
