Hey guys,

I was workin on a 565 from 1964 and accedently placed my wires on the first two tremainals in front of the fist line button. And the light lighted up, then I got the phone up and working, except I haven't connected ringer. My question is, if I put a 4 conductor line cord and put them to the termanals for light and tip/ring would it work?

And how to connect up ringer?

Thanks
Ben

You cannot connect the lamp to the phone line to light the light. This will place a short on the phone line. You can make the light lightup if you connect
O-W to one side of a 8-10v ac powersupply and connect the Gn-W to the other side of the powersupply and connect the W-O to the W-gn. This will light the lamp when the line 1 is pressed and phone is off hook. To make the bell ring
move the (bell wires) That are connected to the y-sl sl-y of the mounting cord
to the W-bl bl-w of the mounting cord. The bell wires should be connected to thr RT and RR of the keystrip.  I suggest you use a 2' long female 25pr cable to do this. If you want to make the phone work correctley buy a WE 551 Ksu.
I do sell them with prewired cables. Just connect the phone line and phone.
If you make a request you may find a cheep ksu. Itt 601a or WE 551a,b or c.
If you need you can call 971-239-5084 for help.
