Automatic Electric MC 802190 Rotary Dial Telephone

I need some help; could someone let me know if the face plate on the Automatic Electric Rotary Dial Telephone MC 802190 is metal?  The telephone is white on white and additional numbers on the bottom are-CSA 6 72 23.  It feels like some type of light metal, but I would like to know for certain.
