What ringer box is 6 11/16" x 9 1/8"?

This is the mounting piece for the ringer box behind the panel under the telephone nook in my house.  The box is long gone but the indentations remain.  They are 6 11/16" by 9 1/8".  I'd really like to know what used to be in there, then I'd know what to look for.   Does the size and screw hole placement look familiar to anybody?  The house was built in about 1922 and the nook won't fit anything larger than a candlestick or a 202.

The back of a WE 634 subset is just about that size.  Is your house in former Bell System territory?
