I forgot to post this.... this is one of the phones that got scrapped. I won it on Ebay cheap hoping it was usable.... but as the photo shows, it was a mess... the water had done so much damage that not even the keyset was salvageable. what a shame.... if I remember correctly.... I did save the ringer, capacitor and some other parts.... who else has run into this case problem????

I got a 302 once a year or two ago that looked "ok" on the outside and seemed like a good parts phone or at least a base to build a working phone on. Once I got it open, all the metal internals were eaten away by what smelled like battery acid. The wires were so brittle they snapped as soon as they were touched. I may still have a pic of it somewhere.

I think the only thing i could salvage was the switch hook plungers and the finger wheel.

If I remember correctly, even the dial was lost... if only some sellers would open they're phones to inspect them... it would really save everyone some time and trouble...
