Ivory Soft Plastic WE 500

A few weeks ago, I picked up a dirty soft plastic ivory WE 500 for $12 plus tax at a resale shop.  The phone is in good condition, but it will need some cleaning, sanding, and polishing.  Just about everything inside the phone is dated 9-57, but the shell and handset are from a few months later.  The line cord is missing.  I have a very nice soft plastic ivory 554 which currently has an ABS handset on it, so I am considering swapping handsets with this 500.  What do you think that this 500 is worth as it is and how much value would it lose with an ABS handset instead.  Does anyone here have a soft plastic ivory G3 handset to spare?
