Title: Manual Blue 302 on eBay
Post by: Doug Rose on August 13, 2014, 04:34:13 PM
Anyone watch this auction, a manual blue 302 for$1413.88. Body looks the right color, but the dial blank and handset have faded a different color. Way above my expertise to get them to match. The manual color 302s are even tougher to find than the dials. One happy seller...Doug

Amazing! The 3 bidders who went over $1000 all entered bids at the very end within 2 seconds of each other. Looking at their bidding histories it seems all 3 have bought lots of phones in the past.

These blue phones seem to be made of unobtainium.  :( :( :(

Mixed with some more unobtainium and gold.

Jorge....since you are the expert, could you have made the dial blank and hanset match the body by sanding?.....thanks....Doug

It is possible that by sanding, you will get matching colors. But in such a unique item, I would call it a day and leave it as is.

I guess.....but spending all that money for a mismatched phone would eat at me. I'd want it like new...thanks...Doug
