OK, heres something for you all.... Terry included! since we know what L1 and L2 do, what about P1 and H1?? (AE phones) my 87's and 187's use these instead of the "L" designations... so, which is positive in a AE phone?

Are the 87 and 187 labelled as P1 & H1 rather than T1 & R1 in wiring diagrams or on the network on these phones? I am trying to recall wha the lines are labelled as on the AE 47 sets....A1 & H1 I think which is Answer 1 and Hold 1 for line 1. Old 1A key systems had T, R B & H where B was Balance and H was Hold.

87 and 187 sets have big hold resistors in them so I am wondering if the different designations is related to the resistors?
