Hey Guys
Nabbed this from Ebay- seems it was actually made in 1980 in readiness for Charles and Diana's nuptuials. I also have a Hoover that was produced for the wedding....

P.S The linecord will be replaced with a Black one!

Great find, Seamus! Is that line cord a standard GPO part?

Very nice.

Is the phone also considered a Diavox or Royal model?
Is the text on a removable cover?

Does the Hoover have a similar message and logo?

Apparently, this phone would have originally been supplied with a 5-way line cable terminated on a Plug No. 505:

Still makes me wonder about the separation of C&D though, he got himself a Ferrari to begin with, but ended up with a Renault 4... ::)
