The winner of Auction Contest #288 is tallguy58, who with the 6th entry into the contest offered the winning guess of $210.00 giving him his 9th auction contest win. Once again, our congratulations go out to tallguy58 for another win in the CRPF Auction Contests and for moving up one rung in the Contest Standings.

The phone was won by a***n ( 2714 ) whose first and only bid, a snipe placed 3 seconds before the auction ended, let him take the phone home for $204.26. The phone rose steadily from $25 to $50 over 6 days. With a half hour to go, there were 11 bidders who place 13 bids to get the phone up to $130. About 3 minutes before end time, another first time bidder showed up raising the phone to $142 and then 2 snipes both 3 seconds before end time set the selling price. The auction saw 14 bidders placing 16 bids which is a bit unusual in that early bidders did not show up at the end to place higher bids.
