Nice phone and welcome.  It's a hardwired one as well, the cord to the handset does not have modular clips, hardwired is more collectable.  Like the color, cleaned up well.  Looks like it was originally made in the the second quarter of 1975. The plastics, shell and handset, might be newer if it was refurbished, which the phone companies did all the time to extend the life of the products. 

Interesting factoid about your phone.  There is no word "operator" under the 0 like on all US made model 500s and older NT ones.  The reason is that they were going to have to put it there in both English and French due to Canada's language laws requiring thus, so instead they simply dropped it figuring it would be too awkward looking.

Trolls! - O.T.? - maybe, maybe not

Back in the days of King Arthur, there is a story remembered till this day.

Arthur was on the way to a campaign with his army..

They came to a fog shrouded bridge with a dark reputation. It was rumored that the bridge was inhabited by a clan of vicious trolls.

He sent his bravest knight across to check its safety. The knight got half way across and it looked as though he was going to make it, but a yellow troll popped out from under the bridge, grabbed him with his sticky yellow fingers, and ate him.

Next he sent his finest squadron across, and, sure enough, when they got halfway across, the yellow troll popped out again, grabbed them with his sticky yellow fingers and ate them like we eat a bag of popcorn. [Cue Sound Effects] Their weapons and training were useless against the smelly foe.

Not one to be defeated, but running short of good men, he sent his lowly page across. The young lad walked clear across, and Arthur and his army followed to the other side.

The moral of the story?  

Let your Pages do the Walking through the Yellow Fingers!

The tilted fingerwheel is because it is not seated right on the "spider" in the center. 
To remove it stick a paperclip in the little hole in the fingerwheel  and turn it clockwise to past 0 (zero), while doing that you have to push in on the paperclip to release the little metal piece under the little hole and then the fingerwheel should lift off.  You may have have to take the fingerstop off to allow the dial to turn all the way around.  To replace set the wheel back down with the 0 hole over the 9 and turn clockwise intil you hear a click which indicates the fingerwheel is locked back on  and the holes again line up with the numbers.  I alwys have trouble doing this and sometimes it takes a couple tries.  -Howard
