Matilo Telephones

It looks a bit like an Ericsson but the handset is BTMC/Standard Electric, early straight version.

No markings anywhere. Anybody?

The metalwork except handset look Ericssion to me

It looks like Ericsson, but it's part differ.

Also the cradle assembly has a sort of stem, that I have never seen on an Ericsson. Not exactly the same design.

Ericsson usually have round wooden feet, which this one has not. Ringer is different. Etc etc.

I google around, but could not find a match.

The upper and lower steel stampings look like the ericssons from Turkey and France. the feet were a flat fiber multi sided shape and the missing bottom cover was flat metal.Look at Ronco's  catalog.not the converted KTAS sets .He might have called the sets Sultans or something similar.Compare cradle to the set pictured on Ericsions trademark or Federal cradle sets. The Ericssions were marked on the dial or the transmitter face plate and or transfers on the paint .

I have seen numerous of them that had no Ericsson markings, except for the handset.

Ah, thanks. Again, similar phones. But the ones calles sultan are not magneto phones and are lower, with a different cradle stem.

This site does not work properly. Every time I click on a pic I get an internal server error. I tried different PC's and browsers. So I had only thumbnails to go by.
