Ohh! That's quite a nifty piece.
Either a prototype or a field trial set. I found a BSP dated 1962 and the 1A single slot is pictured as how we know them from when they were in service.
That is such a unique pay phone!...I love it!
I'd like to see what Payphone installer knows about it...
