Remco Welcome!

Hello Dag,

I've been to your country a few times and visited the Telephone exhibition at the Sverresborg - Trøndelag Folk Museum in Trondheim Norway in 2003. (http://tinyurl.com/Sverresborg) I also bought the book "telefonen, Telefonapparater i Norge 1880 -2000"  published by the Norsk Telemuseum. Later I found out the book was also published in English which I also bought.

Anyone interested in the Norwegian version ;-) The pictures are really nice.

Nice to talk to you on internet with our old phones in use.

We should promote C*NET to others here too.

So to all of you, when you have bought the adapter, you may call us for free via C*NET.

C*NET or Collectors Network are a closed internet telephone system based on the old telephone dial plans, The exchanges are operated by enthusiasts, and you may get a free subscription. You may start with a soft-phone program e.g. Zoiper.
If you like it you may buy an adapter, a box connected between your telephone and your data network, and use your DTMF telephones for calling out, and receiving on all kinds of CB telephones.  Next step is some kind of device making rotary pulses to DTM, and here we go. (Dialgizmo)
I have just bought a Panasonic 616 PABX on EBay, so now I may get a lot of possibilities.
Sound quality like old long distance calling or better, and you may dial real number with no # and *.

Remco, welcome to the "club", and I hope you have as much fun, get as much information, and make as many new friends as I feel I have here.

Well, I have no Dutch phones yet.  I have a German Siemens from the 70's.  I do have a Dutch last name, if that means anything.

No problem on the spelling, and I have always enjoyed your sense of humor.  Now, go out and kiss some more frogs.  Oh yeah, it's winter.  No frogs around this time of year!

Yes I have tried the spell check, but ever time I click it. Yes it will CK spelling, but then it will dump my letter, before I can post. So I have to start over.  TRUE I am new hear, and not sure how things work, maybe someday.

No need for spell check, Vern.  And no worries about knowing how things work--you're doing just fine. :)
