Is this really a 1930s candlestick? Who is the manufacturer?

The receiver is the same shape as a British receiver, but I've never seen a British receiver that poorly made. I know they were reproduced at one time, just like ours were in the 1970s, but I just don't know enough about them to say what this one is. It does look rather cheaply constructed, though--the perch uprights are roughly cast, and that bolt looks awfully "hardware store-ish."
Even if it is real, IMHO, it's so poorly made you would not want it.
Looks to me to be made of bits and pieces of various manufacturers.

These are/were made in India are are reproductions. Some use "authentic" parts like dials. Dials that were originally not on candle stick telephones.

Thank you, everyone. I was suspicious, especially since the lines on the receiver remind me of cheap brasswork from India. I wonder if the seller really thinks that the phone is "genuine".
The back of the dial looks very out of place.
