well, this was a first... I had a $1.00 LED light bulb burn out on me tonight... took it out and noticed the base was too hot to touch.... let it cool down and took it apart.... basically built just like their CFL Predisessors, a small circuit board, a makeshift heat sink, and some LEDs... I was surprised it went out, but when I looked closer, the Cap was bulging.... failure.... cheap parts from China... Would Edison ever make these? I wonder.....

Do you have annotated photos of the a parts? Would be interesting to see the products of your dissection, of a cheap bulb.
