Hi Everyone.

I am looking for a tool for my payphone so I can work on it without having to hold it open myself. I guess it's called a Service Hanger and I found one for sale on payphone.com for $1.50.. I hope this will do its job. I can't find much info about it and none for sale on eBay.

Does anybody here have a nice used one I can buy for 6 bucks or so?

You did not specify the type of payphone but if it is intended for single-slots and will not work with 3-slots.
It is referenced in Bell System Practices and elsewhere. If I cannot find the documentation right away, I will take a photo of mine in use, though it should be intuitive.

I found two photos on the Payphones.com website showing the parking tool in use.

Sorry about that, yes it is for my western electric single slot phone.. Stamped 1C inside. I will attach a photo.
I just got my T-Key in the mail from eBay. No more using a home made key for me. Now if only I had one of these hanger tools  ::)

Pelco2000 has sold them on Ebay for around $35 each. KS-20950-L1 parking tool.
