This is probably a dumb question BUT  how do I remove the finger dial to replace the number card? Also where do I purchase new cards? I thought turning the dial counterclockwise would do the trick but that doesn't seem to work.

HELP!

There should be a small hole near the 9 big enough for a pin to insert. Use either a pushpin or a bent paper clip. Spin the dial fully clockwise, like dialing a zero, and insert the pin or clip in the hole. Push down to release the catch and spin it more clockwise and the fingerwheel should come off.

Sometimes it's not easy. I had one that someone put glue in the hole once.

Now if it's an AE dial, it could have a screw holding it on behind a stick-on card. The above instructions are just for clear 500, 554 and Princess fingerwheels.

To print your own cards, go to Dave Margulius' excellent site, the Telephone Archive and you'll see hundreds of cards.

Thank you very much.
My signs are shown on Daves site but I never thought to look there.
