Dennis,

I see what you're referring to now, it is really noticable in the second pic. where the camera angle is from above.  That still looks fixable to me, but I'm glad I lost that auction. ;D

Dennis, thanks for posting those pictures to show the damage I was referring to. It still looks melted to me. Or warped. Or pinched by hot tongs or something. I've never seen anything quite like it. It does look slightly pushed in and beyond what anyone could fix with sanding.

I've seen what I call cord divots a few times. A cord wouldn't warp the front that much, and from what I've seen, coil cords leave little dots at the contact points. This looks like the devil pinched it with hot fingernails.   :D
