Seller Listing Title:  "Western Electric Candlestick Telephone with Ringer Box. Original, Working."
Condition:  "Used"
Condition Qualifier:  "Good Original Condition as shown in pictures"

Listing Description:  "Vintage, Antique Western Electric Candlestick Telephone with Ringer Box.  Original Condition.  Working. -- Telephone appears to be completely original including finish receiver cord, and base cover.  Markings include: Mouthpiece has a small star in the center; Plate below the mouthpiece reads "Property of American Tel & Tel Co.   337"; Stamped in metal below dial "Western Electric  PAT in USA Aug 15 12  Aug 24 15   DES May 7 18  Sept 13 21"; Stamped on finger stop of dial "2AB"; Stamped in metal above the base pad "PAT in USA Jan 26 15  Jan 1 18  May 7 18  Sept 21 20". -- Ringer Box and cord between box and phone do not appear to be original.  Ringer Box has a plastic or Bakelite case and is marked "Bell System  Made by Western Electric."  Line cord from ringer box appears to be a vintage fabric covered cord but has a modern plug attached.  -- Some of the marking is difficult to read, but this is my best interpretation.  I have tested the phone and it appears to work on our system, I cannot guarantee functionality on other systems.  This telephone has been in our family for many years – perhaps since it was new.  I have described the telephone to the best of my ability, but I am not an expert; please refer to the pictures or ask if you have any questions.  This is being sold As-Is"

Added answer to question: Hi, Could you please tell the number that should be stamped at the back of the stem (the piece that holds the part you speak into, transmitter). Look from behind. The number should be something like 50AL  -->  Hello, It is 51AL. Thanks for your interest.

Looks like the link is broken John.     I can't pull up the item number either.

Jeff, thanks.

Fixed - "1" to many numbers in the original link

I noticed from the pictures of the set that it "appears" that the dial has a "notchless" number plate and it's in decent shape.      That in itself can be a $50.00 value or more if the plate was being sold separately and 2 or more potential buyers got into a bidding war.      There might be a number plate overlay on it, but I see some of the normal porcelain chipping in the very edge of the plate right in that area, so I would doubt very much that there's an overlay on the number plate.    But a question to the seller would clear that up.
