This looks like an original WE painted Metal Red 305. 305s have the ringer on/off switch on the lower left. It has the seamless Brown painted handset and a 5J dial. It has been knocked around a little, but still a very desirable phone...Doug

Think this phone was originally red, or the color repaint was done by the Bell refurb shop at some point?   Wonder what the dates in this phone would show.

It was definitely a Bell refurb, not an original color red. . Notice the 5J is from the 50's. The was a metal phone that went back to Bell and the colored it up for resale like the 202 Continental sets. Clear plungers and the 5J is Bell handiwork...Doug

$40?  When it went to 35 with 2 hours left to go, I thought it would be out of my league.  I guess I should have stuck around.  The 5J dial is worth that much, as is the brown F-1 handset.
