Well, that was interesting.

I checked the price on the phone hit $4,950 about 10 AM this morning (32 bids and $4,950 shown in CW image below) and while I was doing my updating, it dropped to $1,090 and then popped back up to $4,050 with 31 bids. That one bid, the highest, at $6,300 was retracted at 11:41 AM this morning leaving the next highest bidder on top. Since we know the buyer retracting his bid was high at $4,950, the high bid in place (unless it is changed one way or the other) is $4,900 - $50 bid increase level.

What does that all mean? Don't know. Just reporting what happened. A setback for the seller but still have 3 days to go higher.

$10,300 with an hour and a half to go . . . Snipe time could be dramatic.

The winner of Auction Contest #260 is wds who with the 5th entry into the contest offered the winning guess of an even $10,000.00 giving him his 17th auction contest win, and seems to be on a bit of a roll with contest wins lately. So, once again, our congratulations go out to wds for another win in the CRPF Auction Contests and for moving up one rung in the Contest Standings.

Well, while snipe time was a thud for those who watched this auction end, the run up to end time, which began about $10 hours before the auction ended, saw the phone rise from $4,050 to a cool $10,300. The phone was listed at $99.99 and rose over the first three days to the low $4,000s range where it sat until the last half day of the auction. In the end, it was e***s ( 213 ) whose very high bid placed 10 hours before the auction ended, a bid so high, 4 bids place by m***x ( 2159 ) looking for the high bid never exposing it let e***s ( 213 ) take the phone home for $10,300.00. It might have gone higher but there were only two bidders wanting the phone and when ,***x did not end up being high bidder at $10,200 about 2 hours before end time, he gave up and as such, no sniped. The auction saw 8 bidders placing 44 bids.

Thanks again to all who played. As always, there is only one way to get on the winner's board or move up a rung - you have to play to win.
