Found these two AE phones need the transmitter and receiver.  Any idea what models they are

Looks like an American Electric Type-21 wall set as shown on page 10 of American Electric Bulletin 100. It's available for downloading from the TCI Library.

Is American Electric the manual only version of the Automatic Electric?

Thanks.  I was not able to find this version / type with out the dial step.  didn't think they would be type 21's.  Transmitters look sweet, to bad the switch hook is missing on both and only one receiver.
I been working on several of these...

            I was looking at them for parts on that louvered case I got from you, but I think I will pass for now and put it on the back burner.  stub

Thought you might be lookin.  Those transmitter parts are not cheap.   Oldphoneworks was very expensive for 2 transmitter cups, one mount, and two attaching rods.  $147.  Paid $50 for the transmitter face plates w/ae engraved. thru a private seller

Had to send mine to Mr. Hilz.  I couldn't get it to work properly...He did!!!!
Works great now.   Kinda got me wanting to restore a couple more of em

Basically. Until AE completely absorbed AE into AE :)  1930 ish.
