Stan Schreier has developed another interesting product for the phone collector/refurbisher. He calls it a "Touch Tone Tuning Fork". It is a device meant for re-tuning old touch tone (Pot core ferrite type) pads which have gone off frequency over time, simply and reliably.

The kit contains the oscillator, two sets of tuning wands (one plastic, and one with metal bits), clip leads, contact cleaning paper, and an instructional CD.

The Ebay listing for it has videos for a number of different scenarios for where it might be used on a number of different dials.

Now, for me, sadly, my budget can't allow me to get one, but it is fascinating, and would be a very useful device. However, for those who would like to get one, here is a link to Stan's ad! If for no other reason than to see how it is done, you will find the ad interesting!

I was following that one. It sold for $150.

I use a precision oscilator and zero beat the tones when I have to adjust a dial.
