Shall I try, and how do I modify a BTMC 7001B Dial to work today?

The ruined and roughly repaired dial is no accepted by the Smart-1, the dialgizmo and my electro-mechanical pax.
The one in original setup with 9 short and one long pulse is rejected or read wrong by all these but not by the BK Precision 1050.
That makes me even more sure that the BK Precision is not good enough to say OK if it reads the dialed numbers. Still a good tool to have.

When you look at the many great repair videos on YouTube where A1-Telephone.com seems to just test with that one, you may be careful to believe in that it is as easy as they make it look.     Still may good videos, and some not that good.
