I spotted this with less than 2 mins to go and no bids, so I gave it a shot.  I wonder why nobody wanted it.

Nice find!  Even with the shipping!  Hooray for flat rate!
The idea that a four-year degree is the only path to worthwhile knowledge is insane.

Scared off by the crooked number plate?  Or the two (normal) mounting holes in the back?

Nice win!

I figured that the cord alone may be worth more than $25 if it is in good, usable condition.  I might use the cord on my AE50.

Good score!  E-Bay is funny, something goes for nothing and then nothing goes for something!

The phone arrived this afternoon.  I cleaned it up a bit and put back the dial face correctly.  The phone works well, including the dial.  The components are really packed together tightly.  Of course, there is no ringer in this model.  Here are a few pictures.

FYI: There is a model of mod. backplates for certain WE trimline wall phones that retro well to this model of spacesaver. The curve is right, you just need to trim the bottom and paint.

I point this out for educational purposes.

Miniaturization at it's best, circa what, 1955?  We have come a long way eh?

These are cool phones and you look to have gotten a nice deal here.
