Cortelco 250044VBA27F Touch tone phone

Acquired this Cortelco (ITT) 250044 VBA 27F touch tone desk phone with no key pad.  Found a key pad with the required "Flash" button and the message wanting light.  The model # for that is 61T 341  681ou6  Rev 6.0.  Can't figure out how to wire it in so it will work.

Figured it out.  On the back of this type of dial pad, it has the letter each wire goes to - very small print - and there are also three different spots for hookswitch wires - the Slate-Brown wire goes to the terminal by itself and the Slate-White wire goes to the first one under the Flash button.  Attaching it to the second one  instead seems to reduce earpiece volume and increase speaking volume.
