I picked this up at the Southern California phone show last weekend.

I have often see items at a show I really want, only to delay because of a high price.  When I return in a few minutes the phone is sold.  I still think about the "one that got away".

Nope, not this time!
Closed the deal at $700 and I am still very pleased.

I think you got a good deal.
I spotted one on eBay earlier today.
It was in poor condition and they had a BIN of $369.
It has shrinkage issuses

from description:

I can tell you what I see and let you ENLARGE and view the photos carefully so you can determine the condition.

The handset shows wear to the top- see photos
the handset mouth piece looks slightly warped so I have NOT tried to take it apart. I do not know if there is anything inside?
The ear piece unscrews but is missing the part inside, also has some black paint drips? on it.
the original cords
the front base screw will neither screw in or unscrew, it just I don't know what this means?-- so obviously I cannot photograph the inside, it is heavy as a whole phone though, when I did try to open the phone for pictures, the back base screw opens and I could look to see "parts" inside all the way around.
I do not see any cracks in the  bakelite.
I just turned the dial for the photo and it locked up? oil? no phone guys know about all of these things I am sure!
It is looking for a good home, and hopefully a restoration! Great looking phone
