AE 880 and External Power

It has been quite a while since I last used my AE 880, but I am thinking about putting it back into service.  The issue is that I am now using Ooma phone service, and the loop current supplied by the Telo device is much lower than the POTS that I used to have.  I did give the phone a try, and it worked much better than I expected, but the sound was a bit weak.  It seems that there is supposed to be a way to provide external power to the phone, so I would like to explore that option.  Can someone here tell me what needs to be changed, where the external power supply needs to be connected, and what the voltage needs to be?

Thank You

Larry

Thank you Stub.  I will have to give this a try.  I expect that i can use one of my spare 12VDC power supplies.  Hopefully I won't break anything.
