Title: 202 wiring with "Micro R-C Network"
Post by: markosjal on May 14, 2017, 11:24:21 AM
I just crammed the Micro RC Network into my 202 D1 with F1 handset. Here are some pics.

I needed no extra terminals

Notes:

On my line cord the Green conductor is actually blue. so the blue from line cord means green on your line cord.

Black capacitor used was for testing. Final capacitor is hot glued to base.

"Quick connect" connectors used on resistor and capacitor are commonly found in arduino, raspberry Pi and breadboarding projects. The fit nicely on capacitor and resistor leads. These connectors can be hot glued to component for final assembly.

If it helps I can diagram it as well with contacts as marked on 202

I used Mark's photos to install a "micro R-C network" in a WE202 I just restored.  I have posted a photo and diagram of the wiring below.  The unused R terminal to the lower right of the dial is used as a tie point.  Here is the basic hook up:

House Line:

Green to BK on hookswitch
Red to unused R terminal
Black and Yellow are not used

Handset:

Red to R on dial
White to BB on dial
Black to BK on dial

Phone:

W on hookswitch to W on dial
Y on hookswitch to Y on dial

R-C network:

2.2uF capacitor between GN on hookswitch and unused R terminal
220 Ω 1/2 watt resistor between R on dial and unused R terminal

I used a 2.2uF capacitor rated at 50 volts because that's all I had on hand, but a voltage rating of 100 volts might be better.

Thanks to Mark for posting his description and photos above.
