And the winner of Auction Contest #180 is andre_janew who with the 5th entry into the contest offered the winning guess of $500.00 giving him his very first auction contest win. So, a big congratulations go out to andre_janew for getting his first win in the CRPF Auction Contests and taking a place on the Contest Standings board.

Only place to go but up and validation of twocvbloke's adage, you have to play to win.

The phone was won by e***s ( 169 ) with his second bid placed 15 minutes before the auction ended to take the phone home for $472.99. His first bid of $180 was placed 25 seconds prior to his second bid upping the ante. Two snipes placed 5 seconds before the auction ended radically increased the price but neither snipe topped the bid placed by e***s. The phone started very slow with one opening bid and stayed there for the first 4 days of the 5 day auction. The last day saw all the action slowly increasing to $180 and then increasing to the high $400s within the last hour of the auction. The auction saw 7 buyers placing 19 bids.

Thanks again to all who played. As always, there is only one way to get on the winner's board or move up a rung - you have to play to win.
