Hello,

I got this believed Liech 901 crank telephone and when I hook it up with a brand new line cord with good connection it doesn't work, I matched leads from original cord. Does anyone know of a way to fix this/ does it need rewireing to work? Could you explain how to?

Thanks,
Ben

The Leich 901 magneto phone was intended to be connected in a local battery circuit.  There is a way to convert it to common battery.  Look at the diagrams on the TCI website: link.

I don't think that that is the right one.  Look farther down the page.

now that you have two magneto phones you could hook the two together!

Good point, then I don't need to convert it!

I have a couple of these, they just happened to come with handy instructions on how to convert them:

Ok, thank you! I will try that later this weekend...

I have one of these magneto phones lying around.  I have been debating whether or not to convert it to CB since nobody really wants these.  I already have a (non-converted) working CB version with a dial though.
