Is superglue the way to go to repair crack on WE 500 soft plastic?

I have a WE500 1955 with a crack in the corner.  The crack goes all the way through but there are no chips, thankfully.
I read somewhere to use superglue and then polish. polish, polish.
Is superglue the best way?  I want to make this phone a beauty, as best I can.

I used it with hairline cracks on plastic princess phone housings.  Followed by wet sanding and polishing.  Serves its purpose.
