Painted Green 302

I saw this green 302 on Ebay today and grabbed it.  I can see that it was painted just hoping that it was a factory job.  Either way for the price, $48.00, I figured that it was worth the shot.

Is that an "H1" stamped into the shell to the right of the mouse hole, just about the mounting screw, in the bottom photo? Could that be a factory paint job of a metal shell?
