Can anyone tell me the approximate time span when Z Operator dial plates were used on WE phones? My 202 and 302 both feature that type.

According to Larry Wolff's book, the "Z" dial plates were used from the 30's until about 1954 on the "149B" (celluloid 1935-1937) and "150B" (porcelain c. 1938- c. 1954) From 1955-on, the "164A" dial plates had no "Z" and had the word "operator" curved over the zero. These were used on the "continental" and "Imperial" D1 telephones of the 50's as well as space savers well into the 60's.

The 164 plates were used as field service replacements on earlier phones, when needed.
Her is one for sale, but the handset is no the right.

True, the 354 should have a F hand set, not the G hand set.
Will not ship to Norway. :<( I can understand, but if you want it. The seller can ship to me, than I will will ship to you. Yes a round about way of doing this, but it would work.

The letters has no importance for me, we have never used letters here, at least not on the phone dials ;D
