As I play with more phones (thank you Popular1) I find myself paying more for new brown cloth cords than the phones themselves. We prefer the softer brown cords over the original black rubber ones. Curious to know if others in the forum have the issue and if so, are you buying cordage in bulk, cutting to desired length and terminating the ends yourself?

I see that oldphoneshop and oldphoneworks sell cordage in bulk. Are there other suppliers?

What do you do?

I have a hard time finding bulk cloth cord sources. But, when I need to purchase modern cable I go to: http://www.deepsurplus.com/.

And I believe the member your are talking about is poplar1, (like the wood,) not popular1. :)
