American Electric Transmitter

I picked up a nice American Electric Dial Candelstick a few weeks ago, and it finished up pretty nice, but the transmitter wasn't complete.  So, I purchased a nice marked transmitter to replace it with.  Lo and behold, the transmitter doesn't fit.  It's about an 1/8" smaller in diameter than any transmitter cup I have.  Has anyone else run across this before?  And, does anyone have a cup that would fit this transmitter they would be willing to sell?

A couple more facts about the transmitter.  It takes 4 #8 screws.  And the screws are so close to the edge that the cup might need to have notches, not holes.  The inside of a standard cup seems to be 3 1/16", this transmitter would need a cup about 3" I.D.
