 New England Telephone & Telegraph Company long distance manual dated 1941.  A small notebook consisting of about 40 double pages.  The  manual gives long distance operators instructions on how to proceed under a variety of circumstances that they may encounter they're out the course of their job.   They are provided with Scripps about how to interact with customers, and they are given detailed instructions on how to record each call for billing purposes .
