Hello collectors, I have been collecting phones since I was a kid, most were auction and yard sale finds and in decent shape and Novus2 did a good job on bringing the shine back, but I have a few soft plastic 3xx 4xx and 5xx that need some more help.

I have read through some the post and the pics look amazing! Looking for advice on what to use on the softer plastics to bring back the shine. I have a 3450 rpm bench grinder / polisher, is that to high an rpm to use... what type of compound and wheels do you suggest?

Thanks in advance Josh

3450 RPM is too high .1800 is better. The plastic polish was waxy and off white in color.Buffers can grab and smash your fragile housing if not carefull

I use successively higher grades of sandpaper (up to 2500) available in auto parts stores.  I use a palm sander for the early stages and wet sand the later stages.  I then use the Novus, some times with a buffing wheel
