A local antiques shop has been advertising this phone lamp for $150.  I expect that it is French, but I cannot find anything entirely like it.  Does this look like it used to be a real phone?  Is it French?  What might it be worth?

Thank You

That is a French Style handset and hook, Many of them also had an additional Mother-in-law receiver (watch case style).
French Phones don't sell for much in the US and neither do telephone lamp.
To me it is worth maybe  to $50 as a lamp.

It's about worthless as a lamp to me, but I thought that the phone might be rare enough to make it valuable.  The shop selling it is in Detroit, and I am not enthusiastic about going through some of the world's most dangerous neighborhoods to buy it.
