500's at estate sale

I stopped at an estate sell today. On the kitchen wall was a grimy sticker encrusted black 554. This got my hopes up and I went downstairs to find "good phones". None there,  I then hit the garage looking for cool junk and I found the phone stash.  I white 500, 1 red 500, 1 beige 500 1 green 500 and 1 green 2500. These were all multi-date rebuilds and were 1/4 mod. The 2500 was full mod. The prices ranged from $12.00- $30.00. I bought none, but I was happy to come across them.

BTW In 1995 my boss told me the phone company was going to charge him a monthly surcharge unless he added at least 1 TT telephone. He was pretty fired up because he didn't want to buy a TT phone. He was a pretty good guy so I gave him a  TT trimline and a  2500 set .
I  suspect that this was the same reason there was 1 TT phone among the dial sets at the estate sale.
