In the era of art deco Bakelite radio cabinet, mottled burgundy or burled walnut is common if they survived. In phones, they are quite rare probably in that there weren't as many made with respect to black and few of the few made it to today without being broken and tossed. Bob Angel had a mottled burgundy

with a broken Bakelite finger wheel, cap and cradle and he detailed his repair of the finger wheel at this link:

Somehow I managed to forget to submit a guess.  On the dollar amounts, I would assume that all the guesses were US, not CA which would mean the Teleplay won?

Yes, I realized that when the auction ended and they showed the US dollar amount along with the winning C amount.

Since nothing was said as to C vs US dollars, I ran the auction thinking everyone was guessing in US dollars but never made note in the daily update that the daily prices shown were in C and not US.

First time I did a C dollar auction so will know better next time. More than a few of these contests are by the seat of the forum pants in who wins. I get to learn something from this for next time.

As such, since no one made a comment about C vs US during the contest, and I did not adjust the updates (C) to the guesses (US), will let this stand as a win for Christian and leave it at that.
